On December, 27 Steve Jackson announced that the rights for the eight books he designed for the venerabile The Fantasy Trip RPG (first published by Metaganing Concepts in 1977 with the minigame Melee and then officially introduced in 1980 with In the Labyrinth: Game Masters' Campaign and Adventure Guide) officially came back to him. The Fantasy Trip was the ancestor of GURPS that got started when Steve Jackson could not buy back The Fantasy Trip from Metagaming when the company closed (the asking price was 250,000 dollars according to a "Where We Are Going" column on The Space Gamer!).
