On March, 4 2008 Gary Gygax (co creator of Dungeons & Dragons, co founder of TSR, designer of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons and much more) left the Earth Plane to find his proper place in the Upper Planes along other Gaming Gods. Never a game designer has been, directly or indirectly, so influential not just in gaming but in many other fields of entertainment (videogames, publishing and more recently cinema and television) and - dare we say - society in general (The Economist wrote, in its Gary Gygax's obituary, that we are living in a nerd's world). Albeit many other Gaming Greats have left us (most recently Greg Stafford) and the gaming community still mourns their passing, nobody reaches the level of recognition of Gary Gygax.
Today we will roll the dice in his memory. Cheers Gary!
