The article about the Norwegian Basic Set garnered a lot of interest so this time we will have a look at the Norwegian Expert Set for Dungeons & Dragons (D&D). Like the Basic Set, the Expert Set is in hardback book form, like AD&D, and it's 160 pages long (black and white of course). The book collects the Expert Rulebook and the X1 module (The Isle of Dread). This time there are no additional materials like in the Basic Set, but an introduction by Geir Aaslid (dated november 1988, the book was printed in January 1989 by AEH Hobby) is still present and longer than the Frank Mentzer one!
The Expert Set uses again the two columns format and besides the images from the original English language version it uses some 'new' ones (part of them could be original Norwegian ones but there is no way to tell) and a half page of advertising for a game shop chain, now sadly out of business. The release of the Norwegian Expert Set marks the end of D&D publications in Norwegian language, the products announced in the Basic Set were never released. Of course, both the Basic and Expert Sets in Norwegian are very collectible and highly sought for!
