Two of gaming great legends are headed to Italy this year. Frank Mentzer, the designer of Classic Dungeons & Dragons (from Basic Set to Immortal Set) will be a host during Napoli ComiCon, one of Italy biggest pop culture events, held in Naples on April, 25 to 28. Albeit details are still to be released, FM in person has confirmed his presence to the event ans it's possible he will back in Italy for the Lucca Comics & Games pop culture convention in October/November.
The second guest is David "Zeb" Cook, mostly noted as co designer of AD&D second edition and of the Planescape campaign setting. He will be a guest of honour at Play Festival del Gioco in Modena, to be held in May, 17 to 19. This edition of Play, Italy's (by far) most popular 'gaming only' event, will be heavily involved in RPGs and in celebrations of D&D 50th anniversary.
