On October 23 sad news were circulated among gamers and collectors about Len Lafofka's passing, another legend of the Heroic Age of roleplaying and Dungeons & Dragons has left us. Lakofka is especially remembered for the L series of AD&D modules (L3 Deep Dwarven Delve was published in the TSR 25 Anniversary Box Set, 14 years after the publication of L2 The Assassin's Knot) but he was very influential in the design of at least the AD&D first edition Player's Handbook and Dungeon Master's Guide, he had a column in Dragon magazine called "Leomund's Tiny Hut" from 1979 to 1986 and he was instrumental in enlarging and developing the World of Greyhawk setting. When TSR was taken over by Lorraine Williams in 1986 he stopped writing AD&D materials till 1997 for the L3 module. He wrote and released via the Dragonsfoot website the L4 module Devilspawn and a three part L5 module, The Kroten Campaign. He will be most surely missed.
