David F. Nalle, a game designer active since 1979 when published the Ysgarth fantasy RPG (whose sixth and last edition was released in 1992), publisher of The Abyss fanzine/magazine (61 issues, mostly in the '80s), designer of the Arthurian themed Quest for the Grail CCG (published in 1995), libertarian political activist and font creator has died due to Covid complications. He was very strongly opinionated and, according to an obituary by Steve Jackson, "In the design community, he was best known for his love of argument; if there was no argument at the moment, Dave could remedy that". After the relesase of the sixth edition of Ysgarth, writes Shannon Appelcline in a long and interesting obituary, "Nalle's publishing presence in the industry, faded away", perhaps because politics interested him so much.
