On November, 22 I Giochi dei Grandi (one of the oldest game shops in Italy still in business, now part of the Giochi Uniti group) announced on Facebook the purchase of a huge collection of wargames and boardgames, over 800 titles! The collection's former owner decided to move to some Caribbean island and chose to sell everything to I Giochi dei Grandi (where most of the games were originally bought). This event sparked a lot of interest among collectors and the Day 1 of the sale witnessed a long queue of eager customers: the very furst game sold was Heroquest in Italian. Now the collection has dwindled to around 400 games, most of them very rare and collectible. Check yourself on this photostream he amazing sight of this collection a couple of days after the first showing to the public - in the photo above you can see Fernando Ferrari, mond and soul of I Giochi dei Grandi, with the two crown jewels of the collection (sold to an Australian collector of Italian origin).
